Located at 22 Locust St Macungie PA, County of Lehigh.

Locust St Apartments is a 2 story building containing 17 one-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a Living Room/Dining Area,
Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom.

There is a sitting area on each floor, a coin-operated laundry on the first floor. The building entry system works with the
tenant’s telephone. There is an elevator to all floors. There is a community room on the first floor and an outdoor porch
area with benches in the front of the building.

Locust St Apartments is owned and managed by Lehigh County Housing Authority. The building is monitored by Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.

To be eligible for the building, the following criteria must be met:

  • You need to be age 55 or older or disabled. If under 55 and disabled, you will receive a lower preference on the waiting list.
  • There are income limits of $34,200 for 1 person and $39,100 for 2 people.

Income is based on monies received from Employment, Social Security, Pensions, Welfare, Unemployment, Alimony and Other Income Sources applicable.
Interest and dividends from savings, checking, CD’s, stocks, bonds, property, life insurance and investments are considered assets.
If you have given gifts within 2 years, that may also be used as imputed income.

If you are determined eligible for Locust St Apartments, your rent will be either $556/$609 per month. The rent will be one or the other of the
amounts listed based on applicant income at time of qualification for the building. Rents subject to change yearly, please see the application
for updated rent amounts.

heat, gas heated hot water, water, sewer and trash removal. Tenant is responsible to pay electricity, cable and telephone. An electric stove,
refrigerator and window-style air conditioner are provided.
